The 2009 Camaro

The more I see of the “new” Camaro, or the “new” Mustang for that matter, the more I like the old ones. Don’t get me wrong… I think they definitely have attitude compared to all the aerodynamically correct cars that all the manufacturers are churning out these days. But, they just seem to lack something. Maybe its the nostalgia, the smell of unburnt fuel, and the “rattle” of raw, old school horsepower. I guess that’s why I hold on to my 1968 convertible Camaro. One day (God willing) I will live to see that car turned into an RS/SS clone that would make Chip Foose proud. That’s the day I will try to get “Lazarus” as personalized license plates.. as this car DEFINITELY needs to be raised from the dead.
No matter where you go, the old cars turn heads 10:1 over just about ANY new car out there. So, while I wouldn’t mind owning a “new” Camaro…. I would prefer taking the money and building 2 “old” ones….
